Decisions
Why we chose what we chose — updated as macro calls land. Not a chapter; a record.
We move one step at a time Active
It is tempting to chase the biggest goal directly.
- Decision
- We focus on the next right step, then iterate.
- Why
- By taking one step at a time, learning from it, and iterating, we reach the greatest version of the work and deliver great experiences to our users along the way.
We stay small Active
The default playbook is to hire fast and scale headcount.
- Decision
- We stay deliberately small.
- Why
- Staying small keeps us close to the work and to each other. It is part of how we got here, and it is now part of Skcript's DNA.
We stay bootstrapped Active
Every growing company faces the question of whether to raise outside capital.
- Decision
- We choose to remain bootstrapped.
- Why
- It lets us make our own decisions, free from people who are in a rush to make only money. Our choices answer to our craft and our customers, not to a cap table. It also lets us decide with empathy when that matters more than the spreadsheet.
